Sweet & Spicy Pork Ribs

Makes 2 Servings: Counts towards 1 Serving Meat, 2 tablespoons Oil

 

INGREDIENTS

 1 Rack of Ribs (Baby Back or Spare)
 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil
 2 tablespoons Granulated Garlic
 1 tablespoon Dried Onion
 3 tablespoons Dried Parsley
 1 ½ tablespoons Cinnamon
 1 tablespoon Stevia
 3 teaspoons Salt
 2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
 ½ cup Thick n’ Spicy Walden Farms BBQ Sauce
 1½ tablespoons Liquid Smoke

 

DIRECTIONS

Place the oven rack to the second setting from the top; set to a low broil.

In a small bowl, combine all the dry spices and set aside. In a separate dish, combine the BBQ sauce and liquid smoke and place in the refrigerator.

Trim the fat from the ribs with a knife and rub the ribs with oil; sprinkle the ribs with the dry spice mixture until evenly coated.

Place the rack of ribs on a foil sheet or roasting pan; place in the oven and let sear until lightly golden brown. Flip the ribs and cook until the other side turns golden brown and remove from the oven.

Reduce the temperature to 315°F.

Cover the ribs with foil and place back in the oven. Stick an internal thermometer into the thickest part of the meat and check to see if the temperature has reached 140°F; remove from oven and uncover, and baste the ribs with the barbeque sauce and still uncovered, place back in the oven on low broil to brown.Once browned, removed from the oven and enjoy.
