Smoked Herb Chicken

INGREDIENTS

 1 Personal Serving Chicken Breast
 1 tablespoon Avocado Oil
 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
 1 teaspoon Fresh Lemon Zest
 1 ½ Teaspoons Sea Salt
 1 teaspoon Pepper
 1 teaspoon Granulated Onion
 2 tablespoons Walden Farms Honey Balsamic
 1 ½ teaspoons Mesquite Liquid Smoke
 1 teaspoon Walden Farms Pancake Syrup
 1-2 teaspoons Franks Red Hot

 

DIRECTIONS

Place the oven rack to the second placement from the top and preheat the oven to 385°F.

Mix spices and lemon zest together in a small bowl and set aside until ready to use.

Rub the chicken breast with oil and season with the spice mixture. Let chicken sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before placing in the oven.

In the same small bowl used from the spices, mix together the honey balsamic glaze, liquid smoke, pancake syrup and hot sauce using a fork.

Remove chicken from the oven once the internal temperature has reached 155°F. Apply sauce to chicken using a spoon or basting brush, evenly coating; place back in the oven until internal temp has reached 165°F.
