with Italian Salsa Verde

Sliced Steak with Italian Salsa Verde

Makes 4 Servings: Counts towards 1 Serving Meat, 2 tablespoons Oil

 

INGREDIENTS

 2 Large Bunches of Parsley
 1 Lemon, juiced
 Capers
 3 Cloves of Garlic
 ¼ teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
 ½ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
 4 Hanger Steaks
 Sea Salt, to taste
 Black Pepper, to taste

 

DIRECTIONS

In a food processor or Blender, pulse all the ingredients apart from the steak until coarsely chopped, occasionally scraping the sides.

With the processor running, slowly pour in the olive oil until a thick sauce forms; thin with water as needed.

Generously season the steaks with salt and pepper.

Heat a grill or a grill pan over high heat and grill steaks until desired doneness; let cool for about 3 minutes and slice steak against the grain.

Serve with salsa verde.
