Manhattan Chowder

Makes 2 servings: Counts towards 8oz serving, 2 cups vegetables, ½ cup restricted vegetables 

 

INGREDIENTS

 16 Oz Clams
 1 jar Walden Farms Tomato Basil Sauce
 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
 1 cup Carrots, diced
 ¼ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
 1½ cups Green Bell Pepper, diced
 2 cloves of Garlic, minced
 1½ cups Celery, diced
 1 teaspoon Parsley, dried
 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
 2 cups Chicken Stock (Imagine Brand rec.)
 Sea Salt to Taste
 Pepper to Taste

 

DIRECTIONS

In a large pot combine together all of the ingredients except the clams and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and keep on the heat for 20 minutes, add in the clams and cook for another 10 minutes.
