Honey Lime BBQ Chicken Drumsticks

RECIPE SUMMARY

INGREDIENTS

 

 4 personal servings of Chicken Drumsticks
 1 cup Walden Farms Honey BBQ Sauce
 1 Lime, Juiced
 1 Lime, Zested

 

DIRECTIONS

Prepare chicken by removing the skin and place it in a plastic bag or shallow dish.

In a small bowl combine the Walden Farms Honey BBQ Sauce, lime juice and lime zest, pour ¾ of the mix over the chicken, and place in the fridge for 4 hours or overnight. Reserve the remaining sauce.

Heat a grill to 400°F.

Remove the drumsticks from the marinade and place them on the grill. Cook for 30-35 minutes, flipping every 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature has reached 185ºF.

Baste the drumsticks with the remaining sauce, continue cooking for another 2 minutes on each side.

For the oven:

Follow steps 1 and 2 from the directions.

Set the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Remove the chicken from the fridge and pull it out of the marinade and pat it dry using paper towels. Place the chicken on the sheet tray and place it in the oven for 45-50 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 185°F.

Baste the drumsticks with the remaining sauce and cook on each side for another 5 minutes.
