Grilled Mushroom Sliders

Grilled Mushroom Sliders

Makes 1 Serving: Counts towards 1 Serving Meat, 1 ½ cups Vegetables, ½ tablespoon Oil

 

INGREDIENTS

 1 Personal Serving Lean Ground Beef
 1 cup Iceberg Lettuce
 8 Mushrooms, stems removed
 ¼ cup White Onion, chopped
 1 Clove of Garlic, minced
 1 tablespoon Walden Farms BBQ Sauce
 Sea Salt, to taste
 Black Pepper, to taste
 2 tablespoons Reduced Fat Feta Cheese
 1 Egg White (3 tablespoons)
 ½ tablespoon Olive Oil

 

DIRECTIONS

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, BBQ sauce, egg whites, sea salt, and pepper.

Make four small patties to fit the mushroom rounds.

On a preheated grill, cook patties for 2 to 3 minutes per side until cooked through.

Take the mushroom rounds and brush them lightly with oil; place the mushrooms on the grill and cook for 1 minute.

Using one mushroom as a bottom bun, construct the slider by stacking a patty, lettuce, feta cheese, and another mushroom for a top bun.
