Ginger Steak Salad

RECIPE SUMMARY

 

Ginger Steak Salad

Makes 2 servings: Each serving counts toward 8oz of animal protein, 1 tablespoon of oil, 2 cups of vegetables (1 cup of restricted vegetables)

 

INGREDIENTS

 1 tablespoon Avocado Oil
 1 lb Steak, ribeye or sirloin
 1 teaspoon fresh grated Ginger
 1 teaspoon Tamari
 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
 2 cups Lettuce of Choice
 2 cups Bok Choy, sliced
 2 cups Red Bell Pepper, diced
 Sea Salt, to Taste
 Black Pepper, to Taste

 

DIRECTIONS

Heat a pan over medium heat, add in the avocado oil. While the pan is heating, season the steak with salt and pepper. Place the steak in the pan and cook on each side for 1-2 minutes.

While the steak is cooking combine the ginger, tamari, sesame oil, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.

Once the steak is cooked through remove it from the pan and place it on a plate and set it aside. Meanwhile add the sliced Bok choy to the pan and sauté it for 1-2 minutes or until just wilted.

Slice the steak and serve it over the lettuce, bok choy and bell pepper. Drizzle the ginger and tamari sauce over the dish and serve.

**Note: Use left-over steak if you have it, just reheat it or serve it cold.
