RECIPE SUMMARY
Flank Steak Marinade
Makes 4 Servings: Counts towards 1 Serving Meat, 1 tablespoon Oil
INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
Place the flank steak in a Ziploc bag and set aside.
Combine all remaining ingredients and whisk together for marinade; pour in the Ziploc bag over flank steak and tightly seal. Place in the refrigerator to marinate overnight.
When ready to cook, separate steak from marinade. On a grill, in a grill pan, or in a cast iron skillet, cook the steak on medium-high heat for about 3 to 4 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 130 to 135 for medium rare.* Remove from the grill and place on a cutting board to rest.
While the steak is resting, pour the marinade into a small sauce pan and bring to a boil; drizzle over the steak and serve.
*We suggest cooking the steak to rare or medium rare, as flank steak is a very lean cut of meat and cooking it well done may result in a tough steak.
