Beef Stew
Makes 2 serving: Counts towards 8oz serving, 2 cups of vegetables, ½ cup restricted vegetables, 1 tablespoon Oil
INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
Heat a stockpot over medium high heat and add the oil to the pan. In a small bowl combine all the 30/10 Worcestershire Sauce ingredients, then set aside.
Season the stew meat with salt and pepper, and in batches sear the meat on all sides, placing it on a plate once it is seared.
Once all the beef has been seared, remove it from the pan and set it aside. Add the carrots and celery to the pot and stir, allow this to cook until the celery is tender and all the brown bits (the fond) have come off the bottom of the pan. Add in the mushrooms, herbs, spices, garlic and 2 tablespoons of the 30/10 Worcestershire Sauce then stir everything together until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add the beef back into the pot and pour in the Walden Farms Tomato Basil Sauce, add in the beef stock and simmer for at least 3 hours.
